Free and non-binding. We are not a lender — we introduce you to lenders and are paid a commission.

A personal loan is normally an unsecured loan: you borrow a fixed amount and repay it in equal instalments over an agreed term, without putting up your home or another asset as security. The rate you're offered is based on an individual assessment of your income, existing commitments and credit history, so it's rarely the same for every applicant.

Because pricing is risk-based, UK lenders are required to advertise a representative APR — a worked example showing the rate, any fees and the total amount repayable that at least 51% of successful applicants would actually get, rather than a single headline number.

Before you apply, it's worth comparing more than one lender: look at the representative APR, the loan amount, the term and the total amount you'd repay, not just the size of the monthly instalment. A longer term can lower your monthly payment but increase the total cost of the loan.

Below we've listed lenders offering personal loans, each with their loan amount range, representative APR and a representative example.
